1st day was the most relaxing day ever and i doubt we'll have any more such days as relaxing as this. hahaour supervisor has already thrown us tons of readings!!!! arghhhhhhhh
probably because the clientele now is more specialised as compared to the more generaliesed clientele i had in my previous attachment.
anyway..
started the day off with the normal standard administrative proceddure.
(ohya!! changi is damn far!! left house at 645, with reaching there at 830 in mind. end up.. i was nearly late! had to catch a cab. $10 for a 15 min cab ride. is that exx?? )
anyway, my supervisor is a slave driver! but he is good at his work. real good.
we ended up in ikea for lunch. yummy yummy meatballs.
and 1 very important lesson i;ve learnt
DO NOT STEREOTYPE PRISONERS!
they are not as fierce/violent/angry etc as I thought. (at least not all)
I realised that my whole perception of them was way off. way way off.
and i'm kinda sorry for stereotyping them like that.
i have a feeling that this placement will be a very fruitful 1! there is so much to learn! so much that cannot be learnt in sch! so many other theories and skills tailored for prisoners.
this time. 10 weeks seem so short!
i love sushi!
